Grade 2
LANGUAGE ARTS
Grammar: First Language Lessons (though I'm not sure this is really necessary. Now that I have some more experience with grammar I think I might do only copywork until later grades)
Spelling: We started off with Spelling Workout and switched to All About Spelling where we'll stay.
Handwriting: Zaner-Bloser Manuscript
Writing: Writing With Ease by Susan Wise Bauer
Phonics: All About Reading
Reading: Penguin Young Readers
Math: Miquon Math, transitioning to CLE when she's ready. We transitioned about half way through the year and doubled up on lessons and skipped some until she was at the point where she was appropriately challenged. I LOVE CLE math but I don't like doing their grade 1 curriculum in grade 1 (it's a bit dry and I think math should be playful for grade 1), so we do both grade 1 and grade 2 workbooks starting in grade 2 and then just accelerate through them a bit faster.
